My female persian was discovered missing on 12/24/02. She is a tortie color with a smushed in face. She is missing from her home off Dewey Ave in Rochester. She is 7 years old, has never been outside, and has no front claws. She has a black spot inside the roof of her mouth which can be used for identification purposes as she is not wearing her collar. All gray cat was found in late august in the Chili Heights Apartments, she recently had kittens, very skinny, and very full of milk. The office was able to catch her kittens but not her, so I took the mother in and fed her and eventually had to turn her in to Lollypop Farm in Fairport (August 31st). Found a Male Cat in Irondequoit off Bay Shore Blvd on October 4, 2002. He was a black cat with white boots, chest and nose. The white boots on the front were much smaller than the boots on the back. He was taken to the Pittsford Animal Hospital. I was told he had a fractured pelvic bone and desperately needs to find his parents. Since he is a stray, the treatment they can give him is minimal. The animal hospital will only keep him for five days. He is stable and what a loving a friendly cat. He let me pick him right up to take him inside. Mrs. Kristen Schery

My cats jumped out the car window as I was stopped near the Harley school and ran into the ravine. Both are five months old. One is an all white male with a red collar with a bell on it, he has one brown eye and one blue eye and his name is "Vanilla". The second cat is a female tiger cat with a black collar with a bell on it and her name is "Ashes". (They are brother and sister) I have called animal control and have gone back several times to look for them and have had no luck. We have left dry food around the area hoping they would come back. I paid for the dog and he signed the papers. About 1 1/2 yrs ago we split and when I came home from work everything in the apartment was gone as far as furniture, but Killian(shepard) and my cats were still there. Well we were in contact and he once in awhile has asked to see the dog. On June 29th he asked to take the dog camping with to return him the the 1st. Well that never happened and I have spoken to just about everyone in the police department and they say that even with the licensing they can't do anything because its a civil matter. I spoke to the judge and they say that this is a criminal case. To no avail my puppy still has not been returned home. Other than my devestation my children are too devestated. I have contacted a lawyer and he said that this will cost thousands of dollars to sue him in court. Of course which I don't have since I am in the process of purchasing a place that took me months to find due to not accepting dogs anywhere. Quite the battle on its own. I am at wits end not to mention that he is abusive and the dog is healthy since his has been away from him and no longer cowers or throws up from stress and nervousness. This may have been a bad decision on my part but I am not used to people who lie, cheat and steal from world. I am at wits end and don't know where else to turn. Can you help in any way? Our precious dog "Thumper" disappeared around 11pm on 7-9-02 from New Street in the town of Ontario. She is lab/german shepard mix. She is mostly black with brown "eye spots" above her eyes, also brown down her legs and across her chest. She is very gentle, loves people and children. She is 13 and has the start of arthritus in her hind legs which makes it slower for her to sit down or stand up. She has on a black colar with faded pink & blue trim. This is an amazing story that I thought I'd share. My cat, Star, was lost in August of 1999 in upstate NY. In late Oct of 1999, I received a phone call that someone had found him. The founder of Star was an extremely kind woman that took him to the vet to get checked out, drove 30 miles to Buffalo, put him on Northwest Airlines and flew him to Idaho! Was missing early this week and turned up at Ontario Co. Humane Soc. (picked up in Gorham, NY). Let him out back door next AM, hasn't come home. Must be something new in the area attracting him. He'd lost his license we hadn't time to put at least his a name tag back on him. Live in Hall area on Gorham-Hall Road. Dog has wandered as far as Dundee twice in last year. Found: Small, female kitten. Age 6-12 mos. She's a beautiful brown spotted tabby - spots on sides and belly. She's got a lot of rich gold undertones, and beautiful facial markings. When found just before the new year, she was outside in extreme cold. She was wearing a collar when found. She was brought in by a neighbor, but was put out again when she killed one of his birds. She returned last night. We do not know if she is a stray, abandoned, or just an outdoor kitty visiting friends. She was found on Arnold Park (Park/Meigs/East/Goodman area). She's very sweet, but a bit skittish with loud noises. Loves to be held, pet, and generally loved. She has not shown any type of aggressive behavior, even when I roll her on her back to play with her belly.
